Am astonished at how people are desperate to get a job especially the youth. Though jobs are in scarce but they are there. What you have to do is recognize a job opportunity.
A smart job seeker always has the the capacity to recognize on job opportunities. You no longer have to sit back and just wait. Even the most qualified candidate will never be employed unless he derives means of pinpointing work opportunities and following them up.
You can locate employement opportunities through media sources like newspapers,TV and radio. Other means can be from the goverment press release,you can also inquire from friends and relatives,approach staff of particular business enterprises. The internet is also another convinient means to locate a job opportunity though beware of fraudlers, you can check out if there are job vaccanicies from the employment agencies. Very few people do this but a personal enquiry from a prospective employer can secure you a place at the moment or he/she will personally inform you when a vaccancy pops up. It aint  bad to use the "trial and error application" you never know how things might turn out. If you are smart enough you can read between opportunities e.g when an investor announces a launch project you can attend and figure out what they might need and dont have that you can offer.

To meet essential life neccessities,desires,needs and goals we have to work not just hard but smart. We cannot work if there's no work to do. We just must come up with all the relevant mechanisms in finding work,doing the work well and getting the best out of our works. Despite the other alternatives that exist in the market like starting your own business many people find getting employed as a crucial step that must always come first. Employement will give you a chance to apply your theory. You also gain experience and learn alot when on a job.

Before one gets employed one must satisfy certain conditions:
One must attain the minimal qualification for the particular job such as relevant skills,education,talents,special qualities, social and moral standards.
There must be a job vacancy too.
For one to be employed he or she must be competitive this requires smart preparations. You also have to convince the employer that you are the best. Always get informed on the modern tactics of getting a job.
Many job seekers are not serious when it comes to job hunting. This is reflected by the poor CV's and AL's presented to prospective employers. Most of these cv's and AL's are either or a complitly poorly prepared and organized,done carelessly and in a hurry,full of grammar mistakes,boring and not targeted or focused,lacking convincing strong points,weak and too general.
Such types of cv's and AL's end up in the dustbin some employers dont even bother looking beyond the first paragraph. It does not matter how well qualified you are,how many letters you write or connections you have what matters most is how well you present your self on paper. This is the first impression you make to the prospective employer.
