Organisation and layout
A simple cv usually adopts a one A4 sheet/paper layout with most of the basic information summarised in point form. Though the reader doesnt have to turn pages such a layout has its own disadvantages like many points are not detailed or well explained since they have been summarized and you tend to leave out alot if vital information.
A good cv should adopt a four page size layout with the first page being the cover with ypur name and title of the document nicely printed. Second page containing the first body of your CV with details like personal information, academic background and career objectives. Third page having the body containing the remaining qualification details such as professional background, special skills, interests, activities and responsibilities and referees to. Page four being the back protective cover page.

The way we write our CV can create a whole world of difference between two candidates with same qualification details. Make sure that your CV is therefore well presented, designed, precise, relevant and with execellent language command.

Lets major on the componets of a good CV/resume.
The main body of the cv is supposed to fully describe ones qualification details. The amount of detail wilk depend on the job opportunity. For instance if one is applying for a general casual job you will need only one page but when a professor is applying for a sensitive job opportunity with say the UN you might require a few pages of written details. Always make sure that your cv is of the right size, well presented and organized, detailed but precise, interesting to read and focused with minimal repeatations and mistakes.

The main body of the cv will contain:
a  The introduction
This is usually the brief title of the document in the top page. Simply indicate the name of the document. "Curriculum Vitae"
b  personal details
Personal details are very important as they give the prospective employer a glimpse image of the applicant. Remember to tune your personal details to rhyme with the job opportunity.
C  academic qualifications
Many people tend to confuse  the term education with experience. So undertake educational involvements that rhyme with your future ambitions. Make sute that the kind of education is relevant, acceptable, practical, affordable and inlign with your career ambition.
D  professional and general work experiences
There is a great difference between an educated and a learned person and between an academician and a professional. The decision is "which job and when to start". Experience is vital because you will a good idea of what is expected of you.
D  career objectives and future plans
Its advisable to indicate your objective and future plans in relation to the job. Watch out you dont emphasize on your own interest as the employer may conclude that you just want to get exprienced then take off or getting the training and then go and apply it else where.
Your future plans should be relevant to the job and employer, intergrated with other parts of the cv,short precise and talking about your personal expriences in the relevant field is an added advantage.
E  field attachment/research projects/field training.
All final year students in colleges are required to undertake a final course project in the field to apply practically what they have been learning. This could be displayed nicely on your cv as a vital additional quality.
F  activities and special skills
These are certain qualities you posses which make you stand out above the rest. This could include ability: speaking, writting and communicating in special languages like spanish, learn and adjust fast to new conditions, convince, mobilize, entertain, attract and retaun crowds.
G  interest and hobbies
This reflects your personality,self-off job organization and other behavioral patterns.
H  conclusion
This the summary of information at the end of your cv,touching on your availabilty, salary bracket, limitations and any other detail that might have been left out during the final draft.
I  referees
These are people who can be approached to confirm the details that you have put down and have known you for a reasonable time period.

Well thats all a smart cv should contain. Now you can brace your self with confidence that you can write an intresting cv/resume.

Its as if you had a great grasp on the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from more than one angle. https://cvcrafty.com
